Step into the delightful world of Letefoho Specialty Coffee Roaster, a charming café nestled in the heart of Díli, Timor-Leste. Located on Avenida de Portugal, this quaint spot is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a sanctuary for coffee lovers and those seeking a cozy retreat from the bustling streets.

From the moment you walk in, you're embraced by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans fills the air, beckoning you to explore their extensive menu of specialty beverages. Whether you're in the mood for a robust manual brew or a refreshing iced mint tea, Letefoho’s offerings are crafted with care and passion. Their cáscara tea, made from the dried skins of coffee beans, is a unique treat that tantalizes the palate with its slightly sweet, fruity notes.

What sets Letefoho apart is not just their exceptional coffee but also their commitment to using local beans, ensuring that every sip is a taste of Timor-Leste. Customers rave about the rich, dark chocolate flavors found in their coffee, making for an invigorating experience that transports you straight to the lush coffee plantations. Don't forget to accompany your drink with a deliciously crunchy biscotti – a perfect pairing that enhances your overall experience.

The customer reviews paint a vivid picture of why this café is celebrated. Little Miss Library Lover fondly declares it “the best café with the best coffee in Timor-Leste” while Hector Huerta notes the café’s cozy charm and the friendly demeanor of the staff, who embody the warmth of the Timorese people. It’s a place where you can not only savor quality beverages but also enjoy genuine human connection.

However, be prepared for their payment policies; currently, Letefoho accepts cash and bank transfers but does not support credit card transactions—a quirk noted by customers that adds character to your visit. Also, keep in mind their unique approach to customer service regarding shopping bags, which has provided a talking point among patrons. Yet, despite these minor details, Eugene Ang emphasized the café's accessibility with free (if not always speedy) Wi-Fi, making it an excellent place to relax or get some work done while sipping on your favorite brew.

In summary, Letefoho Specialty Coffee Roaster is not just about coffee; it’s about the experience, the culture, and the community. Perfect for a casual meeting, a quiet study session, or simply enjoying a moment of blissful solitude, this café stands out as a true gem in Dili. Don't miss the chance to enjoy their offerings and witness firsthand the charm that keeps locals and visitors alike coming back for more.

Letefoho is a very comfortable, cozy cafe to enjoy a wide assortment of beverages: juice, smoothie, fizz (soda based), tea, and of course, coffee. I tried their cáscara tea, which is made from the bean's dried skin. Their biscotti is pretty good, too. The staff, like all Timor Leste people, is very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy your time there, you are going to love it

The best coffee shop in Dili, original coffee bean from Timor. They handle customers well, responsive and always ok. Order manual brew coffee, it's a very good place for local coffee in Dili.

The coffee is strong and dark chocolate-like. It's really delicious. The atmosphere is unlike anything you'd find in East Timor. But there's a strange system. They don't accept credit cards, only bank transfers or cash. Plus, for $40, they only give you one shopping bag. Even if you spend $100, they only give you one. So, you have to ask them to split the bill. For $100, they might give you two, but they don't. Long black is strong with 4 shots, and latte is only 1 shot because the milk doesn't taste good. I don't really... recommend it.

Got an iced mint tea which was very refreshing. They sold their coffee beans and grounds too, with tote bags and shirts available. Free wifi is available but slow. It seems like they have various tiers for the wifi. Restrooms available too

I didn’t have a chance to have coffee as no decaf option but bought some offer for coffee lovers. Drip coffee for one is $1 and good for souvenirs. Shop atmosphere was very nice!

Very good coffee! Enjoyed it a lot. Avocado juice — something special and new to try! Wanted to take even a second one, haha. Coffee is a bit pricey though (for the place) — 4$ flat white!
